Best ways to save money when shopping on ASOS

0

ASOS lets you shop with all the fashion brands you can think of simply at the click of a button. In fact, ASOS is thought to sell over 850 different brands from Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Missguided to ASOS’ own brands. The list is truly endless.

Here are some easy hacks for saving money during your next shopping spree on ASOS.

Take advantage of student discounts

For students, ASOS offers a 10% discount on full-price orders all year round. To claim your student discount simply complete the student verification form on ASOS’s website. You’ll need to use your university email address to verify your student status.

If you aren’t a student, new customers can still get 15% off their first order over £20. Not to worry, there are lots of other opportunities to receive discounts throughout the year.

Keep an eye on their social media

ASOS has social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. As well as offering news and updates, fashion tips, latest styles and memes, they quite often post flash sales and discount codes.

Plus, ASOS often hosts competitions across social media with prizes including free clothes and vouchers.

Sign up for the ASOS newsletter

Ok, so I know that emails aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. But signing up to ASOS’s (or any other retail newsletter) means you will be the first to hear about sales, discount codes, exclusive treats or product markdowns.

Also, on your birthday ASOS will send you a 10% discount code so you can treat yourself to a new birthday outfit.

Check out ASOS Outlet

Those of you who regularly use ASOS will likely be familiar with (or at least seen) ASOS Outlet. It’s pretty easy to find as it’s highlighted in red on ASOS’s menu. ASOS Outlet sells out-of-date fashion items for up to 70% off (sometimes even more than that).

Click the ‘Save For Later’ button

ASOS has this handy tool called the ‘save for later’ button which is in the form of a white heart. If you come across an item that you don’t desperately need you can add it to your list of ‘saved items’. This doesn’t mean you are reserving the item but you will be able to see when there are only a few items left in stock.

If you can resist the temptation simply leave the items until a sale flashes up or you spot a discount code.

Sign up for Premier Delivery (and share the cost)

ASOS Premier Delivery costs £9.95 per year and gets you free unlimited next-day delivery. You can even spread the cost of this by sharing a Premier Delivery subscription with family or friends and splitting the cost. ASOS allows Premier Delivery to be used for multiple addresses as long as it is for personal use.

If you decide not to subscribe to Premier Delivery, free delivery is only available on orders over £35. For orders under £35, the delivery fee is usually around £4.
